As the world watches in horror, the events following the terror attack in Barcelona, twitter is at the helm with Spanish tweeters showing solidarity on the social media forum. Twitter users are sharing images of cats. Some say the purpose is to prevent graphic images of victims from being spread on social media. Others say it is to avoid spreading information that could help the suspects avoid capture‼️

The US was the quick to condemn the attack ⚔ with the President, the first lady and Former President Obama tweeting out support.

*Donald Trump:* The United States condemns the terror attack in Barcelona, Spain, and will do whatever is necessary to help. Be tough & strong, we love you!

*Melania Trump:* Thoughts and prayers to Barcelona

*Barack Obama:* Michelle and I are thinking of the victims and their families in Barcelona. Americans will always stand with our Spanish friends. Un abrazo.

Football️ star Lionel Messi sent a heartfelt condolence message through his instagram account:

"I want to send my condolences and all my support to the families and friends of the victims of the terrible attack in our beloved Barcelona, ​​in addition to totally rejecting any act of violence.
